TREE HOUSES, THE STORY – I see this tree on my way to the train every morning. Over the years the bird houses have changed from time to time. The tree is like a hand holding all of these shelters for the various birds that nest there. One day I made this connection. A verse I recalled from the bible came to me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? – John 14:2 NLT. In this life we can hold on to tremendous hope that will carry us through. It doesn’t exclude us, however, from the trials that might shape us along the way. Or maybe you interpret “Tree Houses” a different way.

GICLEÉ PRINTS – Here are some of the details of my approach. The company I work with, produces a high-resolution scan – 600 dpi. The paper I’ve chosen to print on is an archival cold-pressed paper that very much resembles the Arches watercolor paper I paint on. Clean and white. The print is created with a high-end inkjet printer and lightfast inks. This works great for what I’m reproducing. The ink is transparent and the process is similar to a conventional application of watercolor pigments. Lightfast inks are also similar to watercolor pigments in that they are not waterproof but they are highly resistant to water. It is the industry best practice to not expose the print to direct light over an extended period of time. Watercolor pigment can fade just as the lightfast ink can. However, if the print is framed correctly and attention to the care of the image is carried out, the print will continue to represent the original very accurately.
NOTE: When you purchase a print it is delivered with framing suggestions and tips.
